EQ Software develops and sells business management software for the KBB market from their offices in Shuttington, Tamworth. Zein’s contract was for twelve months to provide an outline strategy to move the business forward in both the home and overseas markets that could be followed through by the business leaders and stake holders. Alastair was retained by the board as a non-executive director for the duration of the contract.
What emerged from the strategic review was that both the company and product had grown rapidly from humble beginnings but was at a cross roads in terms of its branding. Brand awareness was high, as they had quickly become the market leader in their sector, however, the existing branding reflected a time when the company was small and the products functionality was significantly less. A refreshing of the brand was the chosen route as the company were rightly keen to retain a link with their past, and an upcoming major industry exhibition was seen as the ideal vehicle for launching it.
Zein developed the new brand image along with the usual business collateral as well as providing creative ideas for the pre and post show advertising campaign. During this time we delivered marketing support that included working with the media writing and placing press releases, feature articles and both display and classified advertisements.
For the on-going strategic plan we provided methodology and process for both the corporate and export distribution market segments as well as advising on implementation of sales and marketing metrics to measure success rates.
